Fee Deadlines & Refunds
IMPORTANT: Students are NOT dropped automatically from a course if they do not attend or pay the term tuition and fees; if you intend to not attend KPU for a term, you must ensure that you drop any courses you are registered in by the established deadlines.
Whether or not fees will be reversed for dropping or withdrawing from a course is dependent on when in the term you are attempting to drop or withdraw. Below outlines fee reversals for full semester and intersession courses (see Dates & Deadlines for specific add/drop and withdrawal deadlines).*

| Before the term starts | If you drop a full semester or intersession course before the term starts (see the "First day of classes" for the term or intersession from the appropriate Dates and Deadline), 100% of tuition and fees are reversed. |
| From the first day of term to the add/drop deadline | If you drop a full semester or intersession course after the term has started and before the add/drop deadline, 30% of the tuition fee will be charged as a tuition adjustment.If you drop a course and add a course of a lesser tuition fee, 30% of the difference in the tuition amounts will be charged.Tuition adjustment penalties are placed on the student account at the end of each day during the add/drop period.If you drop and add a course with the same or higher tuition fee within this period, there is no penalty.See Dates & Deadlines for the appropriate add/drop deadline. |
| During the withdrawal period | No fees are reversed when you withdraw from a course during the withdrawal period. See Dates & Deadlines for withdrawal dates. |

Fee payment deadline
The fee payment deadline is published on Dates & Deadlines for each term. Pay your tuition and fees (including Session 2 courses) by this deadline to avoid late payment fees. If you register after the deadline, please pay immediately to avoid late payment fees.
