Deliberately Different

We’ve reimagined the Melville School of Business brand to showcase what truly sets us apart, within KPU and beyond. Our bold new colors and messaging capture our passion for inclusion, ingenuity, and empathy, reflecting our belief that success is about more than just the bottom line. Here, we embrace individuality and teamwork to drive innovation, shaping a future centered on people. At Melville School of Business, we’re redefining business by leading with intention. That’s what makes us deliberately different.

At KPU's Melville School of Business, we aren't just shaping business leaders—we're supporting a new generation of progressive, empowering, and ethical innovators ready to positively influence the future. With a resolute dedication to integrity and ingenuity, we arm our students with the essential tools, knowledge, and networks to excel in today's dynamic business landscape.

Our reputation precedes us: internationally acclaimed, deeply rooted in contemporary values, and endorsed by the internationally recognized Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). As one of Western Canada's largest undergraduate business schools, we proudly provide education to a diverse community of over 9,000 students across 23 programs, guided by faculty experts in their respective disciplines.

Yet, what truly distinguishes us is our unwavering commitment to experiential learning and practical application. From navigating market complexities to delving into corporate social responsibility, our graduates emerge not only with a business credential but also with tangible skills and an ethical framework to foster positive global change.

At Melville School of Business, we exist to infuse humanity into business, championing integrity and ingenuity, with a deliberately different approach. Together, let's redefine the future of business—one ethical decision at a time.

Our business school was renamed the Melville School of Business in 2021, following an extraordinary 8 million dollar gift from the George and Sylvia Melville Foundation. George, co-founder of Boston Pizza International Inc., and Sylvia are committed to shaping the Melville School of Business' future by establishing funds for advanced teaching technology, student scholarships, bursaries, funding for case competitions, and an incubator for business ventures. Their generosity aims to enhance student experiences and empower aspiring entrepreneurs. This historic gift not only underscores the Melvilles' dedication to education but also strengthens KPU and the Melville School of Business' reputation as a hub for business innovation and community engagement.
